5 Tips Before Buying a Digital Photo Frame

A digital photo frame is the "high tech" way of displaying your pictures. Owning a digital camera or a phone with a camera is common nowadays, and with that resource people often take as much pictures as they can afford or care to print. A digital photo frame is a good solution for a cost effective way of displaying these life stills. Its main purpose is to display the pictures stored from various memory cards, either from your camera, phone or on its built in memory. There are diverse types of digital frames available in the market today each differs in features, quality and cost. Below are the 5 important factors to consider before getting one for yourself:

1. How large is large and how small is small? Decide on what size of viewing screen you prefer. It can vary from 1 or 2 inches digital photo keychain sized up to 19 inches wide TV-like frames. The bigger the screen the bigger it will cost you. The average size is at least 7 inches which can display the popular 4X6 sized images.

2. Quality matters. The quality of the image being displayed is a factor to be considered. The main purpose of a digital photo frame is to display images, owners should be satisfied on how the image was displayed. Three quality related factors to be considered are pixel, resolution and display area. The bigger the screen, the higher resolution it needs to get the desired image. Other points to consider for quality are the options for adjusting brightness, color accuracy and viewing angle.

3. Is the price right? Different brands and product specifications give rise to diverse price range for digital photo frames so you need to set a particular range on how much are you willing to spend.

4. Worthy add-ons. Most digital photo frames offers additional features to ease the usage of this gadget. Each have different capacity on the photos that can be displayed, some even have the multiple display capacity via slide show. Others have timers, clock, or can even play music and videos. Some brands change the picture orientation, re-size pictures to fit screen, have zoom capability or even allows image manipulation. The more sophisticated it gets, the more it will cost you.

5. Technically Equipped. Buyers should also take note of the technical aspects of the product. Below are the three guide questions that they need to figure out.

1. What types of image files are supported? 2. Where will be the images stored, from external memory cards or on built in memory? If its from a built in memory, is it expandable? 3. If it supports music and/or videos, what file types are supported? 4. Is there a USB port, wi-Fi or Ethernet connection? What are the other ways to transfer files? 5. What is the power source? Is it battery operated or from AC power.

When choosing a digital photo frame, do not just base your selection on cute graphic design or color. It will cost you money so might as well be smart and choose well and make this a good investment.

Get free Backlinks for your website. Real free backlinks!!

Getting backlinks is very important for your website. Here are some places to leave a backlink for free.. You can also put your links in your signitures in certain forums. However make sure you don't leave one liner comments on forums. People do not mind if you have a link, as long as you contribute to their discussions.

Another way I have found is to check what backlinks your competitors have and try to get a few of them. This is how I find the other websites that are open to exchanging links..

Also leaving comments on blogs is great. When I check my backlinks, all the forums and blogs I have been to come up. I know they are not the best quality link but they work.

How to Get Repeat Web Traffic - 25 online safest techniques to avoid losing potential visitors

Search Engine Optimization service encompasses everything from consultation, keyword research, copy writing, redeveloping the Website, creating incoming links, submitting to search engines and finally, reporting on its results.

You can't just put your website on the net with right keywords and all the right touches and expect your traffic and ranking will remain constant. As the web is an ever changing landscape, you have to keep track of your own web results like what is happening with the competition and also the best and highest ranked sites. The following are 25 online safest techniques, suggestions and tips to avoid losing potential visitors

1. Set a goal. Figure out how fast you can do it, then create a plan to increase and improve your Page Ranking. Start your own Marketing Linking Campaign;

2. Update the pages on your website frequently. Use your time collecting valuable information on your site, and then tell everyone you can! Offer a web site full of interesting details that similar sites' readers can't live without. The best way to gain readership is by offering a valuable resource! You can even put a date counter on the page to show when it was last updated

3. Think carefully about key terms that your users will search on, and use those terms to construct your page.

4. Offer additional value on your website. For affiliates and partners you can place links to their sites and products and ask them to do the same for you. You can also advertise their books or videos, if these products relate to your industry and are not in competition with your own product.

5. Write relevant articles and publish them for free. Make sure to include a Bio Box that includes a link to your site. Stipulate that the article may be reprinted for free as long as the Bio Box is included. This will instantaneously provide extra links to your page when people reprint your work.

6. Choose your reciprocal links wisely. Connect only to websites that contain related information that readers will enjoy. 7. Email other webmasters and simply ask for a link and provide a pre-coded HTML link for them to cut and paste to their page.

8. Place a link on your site to invite customers to 'opt in' to get a monthly newsletter or valuable coupons. Use a "description" meta-tag and write your description carefully.

9. Add a link to your primary page with a script 'Book Mark or Add this site to your Favorites'.

10. Add a link 'Recommend this site to a Friend' so that the visitor can email your website link

11. Use a distinct list of keywords for each page on your site instead of using one broad set of keywords on every page.

12. Keep relevant text and links in HTML. Placing them in graphics or image maps means search engines can't search for the text and the crawler can't follow links to your site's other pages. An HTML site map, with a link from your welcome page, can help make sure all your pages are crawled.

13. Avoid stuffing pages with irrelevant words and content. Also don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with significantly duplicate content.

14. Use ALT text for graphics.

15. Avoid "doorway" pages created just for search engines or other "cookie cutter" approaches such as affiliate programs with hardly any original content.

16. The robots.txt file on your web server should be current and should not block the Googlebot crawler. This file tells crawlers which directories can or cannot be crawled.

17. If you want to improve your Page Ranking try to do not link to sites that are irrelevant to yours and avoid sites that have a "Links Page" that is hard to find.

18. Building links is another way to improve how high you rank on a search engine index. Links consist of your hyperlink of your web site that is posted onto another web site. The more links of your web site that can be found throughout the internet on other sites, usually the higher you will rank in the search engines. 19. Use consistent colors, logos and slogans and always provide a 'Contact Us' link on each page.

20. Create a FAQ page which addresses most of the doubts and clarifications about your product or your company that are likely to be asked. This helps to resolve most of the customers doubts in their first visit to your site.

21. Create a 'Our Policies' page that clearly defines your philosophy and principles in dealing with your customers. Also post your privacy policy as well so that clients know they are secure when they visit your site.

22. Ensure that each page on your website has appropriate titles and keywords Offer a web site full of interesting details that similar sites' readers can't live without. The best way to gain readership is by offering a valuable resource!

23. Try to please dissatisfied customers as much as possible.

24. Never spam a client, who has opted for newsletters, with unsolicited emails.

25. A site map is required to help the users go around your site and in case the site map has more than 100 links, then it is advisable to break it into several pages to avoid clutter

Since search engine marketing is an on-going process, your positions must be constantly monitored. The fastest and most powerful way to make your website known is to submit it to as many relevant web directories as you can. Directory submission is the BEST way to gain targeted traffic to your site. If you want your search engine optimization company to do this for you, request a sample of a monthly report. It is essential that this report should show rankings for the most popular search engines.

Concentrate of giving the search engines what they really want - great content, well-organized, well-published and linked to other relevant material. Concentrate on that and you will be rewarded.

What Are The Benefits Of Mobile Dual-Core Processors?

When browsing through different notebook computer models, you are guaranteed to encounter the "Intel Core 2 Duo" or the "AMD Turion 64 x2″ labels. These labels indicate dual-core processing technology for mobile computing. Multi-core processing is the buzz-word of the day, but what does it mean for you?Mobile Dual-Core Processors

Mobile dual-core processors refer to a processor system consisting of two independent processor cores combined in one integrated circuit (IC) or, as industry professionals say, in a single die. Basically, mobile dual-core processors place two central processing unit (CPU) cores in one processor. Dual-core processing was first applied to desktop computing and home console gaming, but it was quickly adapted for mobile computing. As expected, AMD and Intel both have numerous mobile dual-core processing options available.

Dual-core processors have a different architecture than twin- or double-core processors. Dual-core processors refer to a processing system where two processors are integrated in one IC die. On the other hand, twin-core processors refer to a processing system where two independent processors – each on its own die – are directly plugged into the motherboard.

Each of the processors in a dual-core processor has a built in cache (Level 1 cache) so each has its own potential for speedy and efficient recovery and processing of frequently used instructions. More than that, however, there is a Level 2 cache, in the same IC board, which the two processors share in Intel's Mobile Core 2 Duo chipsets (either 2 or 4 MB); In AMD's Turion 64 x2 chipsets, each of the two processor has a dedicated 512 kb cache per core. The L2 cache is the processor's backup cache in case the L1 cache is not enough.

The Benefits of Mobile Dual-Core Processing

The foremost advantages of dual-core processors are speed and efficiency. Instruction processing and data retrieval are handled by two processors, so more processing speed can be achieved without overheating either processor. The fact that the two processors have their own easily accessible L1 cache also assures more speed. Furthermore, especially in the case of the Intel Core 2 Duo where the L2 cache is shared, full L2 cache memory can be quickly utilized by either one or both processors as the need arises.

In a nutshell, a notebook computer which has a dual-core processor is assured of fast and efficient processing performance with a greatly reduced risk of overheating. Multi-tasking is much improved. Dual-core processors also consume less power than twin-core processors.

One other benefit of dual-core processors in notebook computers is the possibility of lighter and smaller notebooks that can approximate desktop PC performance. Since two processors share one IC die, one can enjoy the benefits of dual-CPU processing without having to deal with extra bulk.

It is important to note that users of older programs will not see any benefit from their dual-core processors if they only run one program at a time. Older programs were not designed for dual-core processing, so they are only able to take advantage of a single core. A dual-core processor still gives considerable advantages in multi-tasking, however, as each core is able to handle a different program, speeding up multi-tasking considerably when compared to a single-core computer.

As time goes on, more and more software developers are developing their products with dual-core processors in mind, so users will see more and more benefit out of their dual-core processors in the near future.

How Large, How Fast? Choosing the Right Hard Drive Size and RPM

One necessary and extremely important component of computers is the hard drive. The hard drive stores your games, applications, music, pictures, videos, and documents. As such, you should be sure the notebook computer you're thinking of buying has a hard drive that can give you the storage and performance that you need.

There are two important considerations when looking at hard drive specifications for your computer notebook: hard drive size and hard drive RPM.

Hard Drive Size

Hard drive size simply refers to the data storage capacity of a hard disk drive. Desktop computer hard drives offer sizes of up to 500 gigabytes (GB), while notebook computer hard dives offer sizes of up to 160 GB. Notebook computer hard drives are more expensive than desktop computer hard drives with more than twice the capacity of the notebook hard drive. This is due to the engineering difficulties inherent in making high-capacity hard drives for the smaller notebook computers form-factor.

A notebook computer's hard drive size indicates how much data a notebook computer can store. If you are interested in storing large amounts of movies, pictures, or music, you want to go with a larger hard drive to avoid running out of space.

A hard drive's size has very little to do with its performance, unless the drive is almost full. The Windows NTFS File System requires a minimum of 10% of the hard drive to be free space for optimum performance, and it frequently requests as much as 15%. This means that, on a 40 GB drive, Windows prefers that you use a maximum of 34-36 GB, leaving 4-6 GB of space unused. On a 160 GB drive, Windows prefers that you use a maximum of 136-144 GB, leaving a massive 16-24 GB unused. If you start to go over these Windows storage limits, you may notice your computer's performance taking drastic hits.

Hard Drive RPM

Hard drive RPM is a hard drive's rotational speed, measured in revolutions per minute (RPM). Desktop hard drives now have speeds as high as 15,000 RPM. Notebook hard drives, on the other hand, currently have an RPM ceiling of 7200 RPM.

A hard drive's RPM indicates how fast the drive's spindle will move or how fast the hard drive platters will spin. The higher the spin rate is, the shorter the seek time and latency will be. This translates to quicker data access and transfer.

How Large and How Fast

The greater the free space and the higher the RPM, the better your notebook computer's performance will be, so go for a slightly-more-than-comfortable size and the highest RPM for your notebook computer's hard drive. A large hard drive gives you the option to expand in the future, and you can never go wrong with a notebook computer that can give you fast access to your stored data.

It is even more crucial that you go with the top-of-the-line hard drive size and RPM for your notebook computer if you are fond of computer games, you have a lot of multimedia files, or you want to be able to easily upgrade your programs. These games, content and programs take up a lot of space. A high RPM hard drive can also cut down on game load times, giving you more time enjoying your games and less time staring at loading screens.

Notebook Display: WXGA WSXGA or WUXGA?

When buying a widescreen notebook, it can be a bit confusing to pick the right LCD. Generally, you are given a choice between WXGA, WSXGA and WUXGA notebook displays. What are these and which do you choose?

WXGA, WSXGA and WUXGA

The above acronyms are resolution standards for television and computer monitors. All of them refer to widescreen display standards: WXGA stands for Widescreen Extended Graphics Array; WSXGA for Widescreen Super Extended Graphics Array; and WUXGA for Widescreen Ultra Extended Graphics Array.

WXGA, WSXGA and WUXGA are not the only display standards for screen displays, but they are the most common in notebook computers. True to widescreen standards, all three of these have an aspect ratio in the range of 16/9 to 16/10. They mainly differ in their resolution (the number of pixels they can display on screen).

While all widescreen displays can use resolutions lower than their rated display, they provide the best image at their native resolution, which is also their maximum resolution. Keep in mind that a lower resolution is much easier on the eyes, so you will want to go with a native resolution that does not leave you squinting at the screen in your day-to-day use.

WXGA has a 1366×768 resolution, an aspect ratio of 16/9. WSXGA boasts a greater resolution at 1680×1050 and an aspect ratio of 16/10. WUXGA uses a resolution of 1920×1200 at an aspect ratio of 16/10.

What to Pick?

If you are buying a notebook computer for gaming purposes, you probably want a WUXGA screen for the sharpest image. If you are an HDTV subscriber and you plan to use your notebook computer as an HDTV receiver, WUXGA gives the very highest resolution available. WUXGA is also great for watching movies and viewing digital images due to the sharp rendering of images and pictures.

WUXGA is very convenient for multi-tasking, provided you can handle the small display size. This is perfect for working on two documents or web pages side-by-side, which can enhance productivity.

A WUXGA LCD can display greater amounts of detail than both WXGA and WSXGA, so you can see on the screen. This is not to say that WXGA and WSXGA have nothing to recommend them. In fact, WUXGA is not for everyone.

If the notebook computer does not have a powerful mobile GPU and a 17-inch or larger LCD, high-resolution gaming potential will be more difficult, as it takes a high-end GPU to push modern games to 1920×1200 resolutions. As mentioned, customers with less than excellent vision are better off choosing WXGA to get the largest text display. If you want a notebook display with medium-sized text, sharp images, and less than 17 inches of physical screen size, WSXGA is a good compromise, and the 1680×1050 resolution is nothing to sneeze at, by any means.
