Recover deleted files, photos, documents from the recycle bin or your camera card

Not only can you recover deleted files, photos, documents from the recycle bin or your camera card, but you can recover from any hard drive or storage card. Luckily, when you delete a picture or any file from your computer, Windows just marks it as deleted but doesn't actually delete the file at all. The space where the file is will be treated as free space until another file comes along and overwrites it.

Defragging your computer moves files around and therefore overwrites on any empty space that is available. So if you want to recover a file I do not recommend that you dafrag first. Also formatting your hard drive wipes your computer of all data so this will also diminish the chances of file recovery.

I had accidentally deleted some family photos and was devastated until I found a free program that recovered my photos for free. Its called Recuva and its made by the same guys that made Ccleaner. Go here to see this article A free program to recover (Recuva) and restore accidentally deleted pictures, photos, and files It explains a bit more about this program.

Also watch the video below showing how to recover photos, files, documents, or anything really. It also shows you that there is an option to recover deleted photos from your digital camera storage card. This program is just unbelievable!

Windows movie maker - save a movie to your computer

In the previous post it showed you how to add subtitles to a movie with Windows movie maker. Now this video will show you how to save that movie to your computer. It will end up as a .wmv file which will be more compatiable with other players, including Windows media player.

If you have added subtitles or any special effects it will all be saved as one movie. The title, your movie, transitions, and end titles will all become one.

Add a subtitle to a youtube movie with Windows movie maker

Uploading your home made movies or even professional productions to youtube is becoming everyone favourite past time. What a great way to share your videos and home movies.
You can upload a video to youtube and make it private or public.

I found myself addicted to youtube and started to make short computer tutorials to upload. I wanted to use the youtube videos to get people to go to my websites and so I decided to put a simple subtitle at the start of the movie. When I say simple, I mean very simple! As you will see in the video below, I use Windows movie maker to edit the video.

Windows movie maker is a program that comes with Windows XP and I had never realized how easy it was to use. A great program right under my nose the entire time.

I made my little video tutorials with the free screen recorder called Cam studio. After that I simply imported the video into Windows movie maker and added the subtitles there.

As you will see, your subtitles can say anything you like. You can change the font, color, effects, and more on you subtitle. Maybe you should do an experiment of your own.

I know my movies are not professional but I think the subtitle makes it look a little bit better anyway.

Format your computer yourself with a Windows XP cd

People are starting to realize that the internet has provided a wealth of information for free. One of the most popular subjects about computers is how to format your computer using a Windows XP cd.
The local computer repair guy probably does not want the average computer user to know how to format a computer, however, sorry guys, the information is out there!!!

If you go to Google and type in "how to format a computer using a Windows XP cd" you will find that this page comes in at number two.. How To Format a Computer Using a Windows XP disc.

Why has it come in above Microsoft Windows Xp's own page.... Well, for one thing, it is probably much easier to understand than the complicated tech talk on the Microsoft Website. Not saying that the Micosoft Windows site is not useful, because it is.

If you type in "how to format a computer" Microsoft does not even make it into the top 10. However How To Format a Computer Using a Windows XP disc comes in at number 11.

These stats may change, however I strongly suggest that you check out this page if you are looking at formatting your computer yourself. In fact there is an entire "how to" Format Windows XP menu available.
